Having never been to the Grand Tetons before and only having a very short time to enjoy the area, I had to do some quick research and investigating in order to find out where I wanted to be for sunrise. After browsing through numerous books, and talking to a few locals in the area, I had two possible locations in mind for the following morning.
With the alarm set for roughly 4:00 am... we broke camp and headed out to my top choice. Kelsey wasn't too enthusiastic at the time, but she has since agreed the early morning was well worth it.
After a quick drive off the main road, we arrived just in time. The sun was touching the slivers of clouds above, but hadn't yet reached the peaks. Before it had broken the horizon behind us, the Teton range was beginning to glow, reflecting perfectly in the calm waters of the Snake River below.
